ABOUT
ME
From an early age, I’ve been compelled to tell stories. It all started with making short movies with my parents’ camcorder and my brother, Brad, in the starring role.
Fast forward a decade after traveling and living abroad in New Zealand, I found my calling — Journalism. I graduated from USC Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism with a Masters in Broadcast Journalism, and focused my attention on field reporting. It took me to Hong Kong and China to intern for CNN’s Asia bureau.
Soon after, I decided to pursue anchoring, where I helmed KSBY’s (Central Coast, California) morning anchor desk for four years while also field reporting. Currently, I teach Journalism at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo where I focus on storytelling for social media, video production, and manage KCPR, the college’s radio station.
I never miss an opportunity to tell a story, be on the water, seek new travel destinations, and find wild surf.
